I n all aspects of blogging success, there are two sides to the coin: the things you do on your blog and the things you do outside your blog .
For example, the optimization of search engines, you on SEO page (keyword optimization, metadata, internal linking structures, etc.), and off-page SEO (backlinks, etc.).
When building relationships, energy must be focused both on the community of readers and followers on your blog and other bloggers and authority figures in your niche, to outside your blog.

If you have already set your answering machine, offered a lead magnet (either a free or course eBook), and given your readers opportunities both in the sidebar of your blog and end of your blog posts opt-in, you have done a great job so far.
You internally stuff down pat, but here’s what you can do to use things outside your blog to explode your list.
How to build your email list Externally: the ingredients
First, you’ll need a landing page.
Before starting any type of external list building campaigns, I recommend that you create a landing page -. A page on your blog that copy, images and calls to action that specifically encourage people to opt in to your list

We will use this landing page in most strategies I expose below.
The reason this is important because even though you can use these strategies to send people directly to your home page, sending traffic to a landing page instead of a call action and a clear goal will be give you a lot more subscribers .
To make the landing page idea a little further, I recommend buying a good, almost short domain name that conveys to your landing page. Not only helps clean URL trying to send traffic on a video or audio format, but it also drives traffic simply because it can sting his curiosity.

Now, some external strategies you can use to build your list.
How to build your email list Externally: strategies
Build your list in your RSS
A significant amount of people enjoy playing content via an RSS feed, which means that there are people who consume content without ever setting foot on our website .
Consequently, they are never given the opportunity to subscribe to our lists.
Yoast SEO plugin for WordPress can solve this problem for us. With it, you can add a few lines of text that will be shown that RSS subscribers at the end of your post.
Add a call to action to subscribe to your list or download your lead magnet, and you are all from.
Build your list In the lead magnet itself
It may seem strange to asking people to subscribe to your list or newsletter from the same product, they receive after they opt-in, but the truth is it can actually be very useful.
- Not everyone who sees your lead magnet will have signed up for your list, especially if it is really good and was shared and passed around.

The non-direct approach

The approach Social Proof
Social proof is huge.
If there are a lot of people doing something, it’s almost guaranteed that just because there are a lot of people to do it, more people will participate.
Think of a large crowd gathered that you see at the mall. You can not help wondering what the heck, it’s all about, right?
Examples of some tweets and status updates that use social proof to get people to take action:

There is no harm in asking -. Just do not overdo
The beauty of social media is the best copy you write and the more value you can provide to your followers, more viral these tweets and status updates will be more you will achieve.
Build Email List by Guest Posts
It is common knowledge that one of the best ways to gain exposure and drive traffic to your site is to client on other blogs.
You can include at least one link to your website in the guest author bio, so why not create a link to your landing page instead of just directly on your homepage!
Sometimes the blog owner will insert two links, in which case you can link both your home page and your landing page.
Finally, because you’ll probably be invited display on sites that relate to your newsletter or a lead magnet, you could perhaps fall into a link in the body of the client himself (just like I did in one of the above sections of this post). A clean URL is recommended, and if it is relevant and adds value to their readers, you have nothing to fear.

Build your list on YouTube and other video sites
The videos are increasingly popular these days, especially with the way it is easier both download and consume video content.
If you are not using video, you are definitely missing a huge opportunity to drive a lot of targeted traffic to your website and increase the authority you have in your niche.
Here are some tips and tricks that you can use to build your list on video sites such as YouTube.
1. Link your landing page in your description of the video.
But not only that, make sure that the link is the first part of your description.
Why? Because many sites display only the part at the beginning of the description on the video page and hide the rest until you click “more information”.
You want your link is displayed without the viewer having to do extra work.
(Note: in most video sites, including YouTube, they provide the only link to external sites if the link starts with “http: //” .. A link text html anchor will not work)
2. Insert a call to action in your video.
At the end of some of your videos, you can simply ask people to go to your landing page (clean urls – yay). To join your newsletter or get your free eBook or course
In addition, you can add a 5-10 second piece at the end of your video that shows only text -. A call to action to get to your landing page

In fact, I get more traffic to my landing page of my podcasts I do on YouTube. iTunes is certainly a search engine that is underutilized.
Build your list with free webinars
The last strategy I would suggest is that using a webinar to grow your list.
Many top internet marketers use webinars to promote products and share valuable content with their viewers in an interactive way that can not be done through a blog, podcast or even a video.
But not many people realize that webinars are a great way to build your list, especially if you are promoting your own product and an affiliate program to go with it.
Here’s how it works
Let’s say I had a product I’ll sell called Widgets for parents .
I plan to host a free webinar on GoToWebinar who give a lot of valuable content and offers end Widgets for parents to viewers, probably for a limited time discounted price.
Before the webinar, I contact the higher authorities in parenting Niche -. Everyone who I have a deep connection that can have an email list or audience they would like to promote Widgets for parents to
I put all of them with a link affiliate that links to a webinar registration page, instead of a typical sales page or landing page.
Each of the affiliates promote the webinar to their audience, and because I’ve integrated with Aweber GoToWebinar (I think other email service providers can work too), all world that automatically gets placed signs in my own email list.
Even if they do not go they have even become a subscriber and my list has doubled or tripled.
Futhermore, GoToWebinar can generate a report after the webinar exactly who attended and who did not.
You can get fairly smooth and follow up with these groups in any way you choose, for example emailing all the people who did not attend that there is a chance to watch a replay of the webinar.
This is a little more advanced and much more difficult to execute, but I’ve seen email lists that grow by the thousands in a single day.
How to build your email list Externally Marketing carry
You do not have to use all theses strategies I have outlined above, but Just know that the more diversified you are in your building campaigns in email list outside of your blog, the more subscribers you will get.
